PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The landers Shute WTP’s existing screw presses needed to be replaced, with Stirloch awarded the project to upgrade the plants sludge management system.  The project included the installation of 2 new centrifuges into the existing sludge building, requiring the careful staging and removal of the existing presses to ensure SEQ water maintained the ability to de-sludge during the peak x/mas period. The building was extensively upgraded and extended to accommodate the new centrifuges, conveyors and Switchroom. Other works included a new sludge holding tank, upgrading to the existing thickeners associated pipework’s and pump upgrades including all electrical and control systems
